NoChat · Bitry LTD
Child safety standards
NoChat is a dating app for adults. It is 18+ only, and it has no chat: two adults agree to meet in person at a partner venue. This page is our published standard against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), as Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy requires.
Nobody under 18 is allowed
- Every account states a date of birth at sign-up. An account whose date of birth is under 18 cannot be created, and the app says so.
- Both stores list NoChat as 18+ and it is rated for adults.
- Age verification is backed by a liveness and face check: the selfie must be a live person and must match the profile photos. A face our checks read as a child is refused, and the account is blocked from being verified.
- If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we delete it and its content, and we keep the record needed to stop the person signing up again.
What is forbidden
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, drawn, generated or photographic.
- Sexualising a minor, in a photo, a profile, a name or a request.
- Grooming, soliciting or arranging to meet a minor, and any attempt to bring a minor into the app.
- Claiming to be a minor, or seeking one.
How to report, inside the app
- Open the person’s card or your match, tap the ⋯ menu and choose Report.
- Pick the reason, including a child safety reason, and send. The report reaches our safety review, and you can block the person in the same menu.
- You can also write to connect@bitry.io at any time, with or without an account.
How we respond
- A report that concerns a child is handled ahead of everything else. The account is suspended while it is reviewed.
- Confirmed CSAE means the account is removed permanently and the person is barred from NoChat.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the authorities responsible, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where the law applies to us, and we comply with lawful requests from national and regional authorities.
- We keep what the law requires us to keep to support such a report, and nothing more.
